sunken time
This installation was developed for the Vijversburg VI art event in Tytsjerk, The Netherlands. The motto of this manifestation was “Short is the time, and irrevocable”. The artwork was located on the site where a 17th century country house used to be. Opposite the old teahouse on the bank of the pond I suggested the old steps and the front door of this house. When you look inside through the peephole you imagine yourself back in time. At the same time you could experience the past and the present in this way. A line-construction can be seen along the banks of the pond that indicates the contours of the ground surface of the former house.
